The Jewish calendar is a combination of the lunar and solar calendars. Jewish festivals and holidays are marked here with candles; for example, the Sabbath—the Jewish day of rest—is marked with two candles. As a rule, no events are held at the Roth Community Synagogue on the Sabbath. This allows Jewish people to attend the events as well.
